Big Ticket Festival 2013: To Feature Big Names In Christian Music, June 20- 22
This year's Big Ticket Festival, from June 20-22 in Gaylord, Michigan, will feature big name Christian artists including Chris Tomlin, Audio Adrenaline, Francesca Battistelli, Hawk Nelson, Switchfoot, Pillar and even Veggie Tales!
Other artists to be featured include Anthem for Asaph, Attaboy, Bluetree, Byron Trimble, Chasynn Canaan, Cities & Saints, Craig Welch, Crazy Awesome Awesome, Family Force 5, Fever Fever, George Moss, Hail Your Highness, Heath McNease, Ignescent, Jake Hamilton, Jetty Rae, Livingstones, Luke Cyrus, Matt Maher, Neshama, OBB, Project 86, Random Hero, Sam Sarchet, Sargent Avenue, Satellites & Sirents, Saylah, Sevenglory, Shuree, Sidewalk Prophets, Silverline, Stellar Kart, The Letter Black, The Madison Letter, The Wedding, Todd Ballard, We Are Leo and Wolves at the Gate.
The festival will also feature winners of the BFT 2012 Indie competition, August Rain, Beacon Light and Samantha Crawford. In addition to these artists, speakers at the event will include, Bob Lenz, Chris emery, Clinton Faupel, George Moss, John Vermilya and the Stand Strength Team.
The Big Ticket Festival is an annual festival run by the White Stone Project, a not-for-profit corporation that works to glorify God through various events, media and social justice causes. This year, White Stone Project is partnering with World Orphans, an organization that provides home-based care and services to orphans through local churches. The Big Ticket Festival also works in partnership with Michigan Blood, offering an opportunity for festival attendees to donate blood at the festival. MI Blood will also be working with BFT to donate an addition $10 to the World Orphans Haiti Project for every donation received at the festival.
The mission behind the festival is to bring people together to worship God and be brought closer to Him. This year marks the 8th annual Big Ticket Festival and it has become one of the largest faith-based festival in the United States. "Each year we host over 10,000 people a day over the three day festival," writes the festival website.
The festival features musical performances, inspirational speakers, extreme sports (with Stand Strength Team andZero Gravity), a kids zone (with extreme inflatables), the 2013 Indie Artist Competition, the FCA Big Run of the One, various ministries and a prayer tent. For those who are traveling, the festival offers both camping and hotel lodging accommodations. One-day tickets for the festival cost $39 for adults and $19 for children, ages 6- 11.
