Antoine Griezmann News: Football Player Declines Arsenal's Offer Know More About the Controversy

Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid's left winger in football, has recently declined the Arsenal's summer offer due to Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone, according to FTB Pro.

The French footballer joined the Spanish team in the summer for a contract of 23.8 million pounds even after Arsenal expressed their interest in getting Antoine Griezmann.

Antoine Griezmann was formerly a star of Real Socieda and was known for his performance in La Liga.

He says that Atletico Madrid's manager is the one who has the skills an potential to boost and expand his career in football, not Arsene Wenger, the manager of Arsenal.

"Why Spain and not elsewhere? This is my Championship, my home. I'm happy here and Atletico is a great club. They were willing to pay €30 million for me," says Griezmann.

An additional information in Bleacher Report, the 23 year old french footballers scored an outstanding 16 net goal in over 30 Basque league starts during the last season. Griezmann also got three goals in a short span of only 47 minutes for Spain before the start of the World Cup.

The Paraguay and Jamaica's games were considered to be Spain's final preparatory matches against the team of Brazil. This set up the Frenchman to play in every consecutive football game for the side of Didier Deschamps during the tournament.

Griezmann's role in the team of Atletico is not the same as when he played Anoeta, the French footballer plays more central positions in his recent games.

Also, Griezmann denies popular opinions that he is the successor of Franck Ribery, who is also a French footballer.

Franck Ribery recently declared that he will retire playing for international football. Many football fans compare the Griezmann and Ribery, and they think that Griezmann is the best fit for Ribery's successor.

Griezmann also expressed that he does not want people to perceive him as the successor of Ribery. He is also not pressured to exceed or be on the same level as RIbery's performance, Goal reported. 

Karim Benzema, who also plays with Griezmann at Atletico Madrid, gives lots of tips and guidance to Griezmann. Griezmann says that he needs to be able to make decisions by himself when the Euro 2016 comes.
