Sony Smartwatch 3 News and Updates: No Release Date yet But Gadget is said to Compete with upcoming Smartwatches; Price is said to be at $249.99

Sony Smartwatch 3 could be just around the corner. The Japanese company has not given any exact Sony Smartwatch 3 release date yet. While we are speculating on the rumored launch date, Google is said to quietly letting the device into the play store.

In retrospect, Sony even announced the wearable gadget last September during the IFA. According to T3 website, the gadget will cost around $249.99. The price is considered as a premium price as it competes with the Moto 360 and LG G Watch.

Among the Sony Smartwatch 3 specs are as follows:

• Comes with a 1.6-in rectangular 320 x 320 LCD display
• It has a 4GB of built-in storage, a microphone and is a fully-fledged waterproof device - chargeable via a standard microUSB port
• It also has Accelerometer, Compass and Gyro
• A GPS which lets you use fitness apps without a connection

As of the moment, Google is showing the smartwatch with a black strap, but upon its release, there might be other choices of black or lime, as lime was being considered upon release. In time, pink and white colored straps will also be offered.

This new device is a follow up to Smartwatch 2.
