Is Fox unraveling an 'X-Men live-action TV' series? - Latest News, Updates and Premiere Date!

Good news to all X-men fans! If all goes well watching awesome mutants on a weekly basis will be a dream come true. Bleeding Cool reports that preparation for the "X-men TV" series is on full swing. But sorry mutant fanatics, the TV series is not for the heavyweight X-Men like Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm. But not to worry, Fox is ready to introduce some 'new' mutant characters. It ought to be mentioned that there has been no official confirmation about the premiere date till now

Remember Ouicksilver? Rumor has it that Quicksilver a.k.a. Peter Maximoff would be a main character in the TV series. The speed master was first seen in 'X-men: Days of Future Past'. Actor Evan Peters who played Quicksilver in the movie is not new with the small screen; Peters is a regular feature in American Horror Story TV show. And because Peters did so well in his performance as Quicksilver, he is part of the cast in "X-Men: Apocalypse" 2016 film.

Meanwhile, FilmDivider  reports that the TV series might also have Jamie Madrox a.k.a. The Multiple Man, the only man who can carbon copy himself. Actor Eric Dane is all set to become Jamie Madrox. Dane was last seen in the film X-Men: The Last Stand.

Now what about female lead stars? Unfortunately there are no film or TV projects for female vanquishers lately so the choices are a bit low. A good choice would be Anna Paquin who has her own Rogue followers. She played the character the second time in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'. Good thing 'True Blood' TV show just ended. Marvel also had some plans to do a Black Widow project, but unfortunately the plan is getting a back seat.

Still if the TV series becomes as popular as the film, it will give Fox the opportunity to introduce more new characters, go deeper in character development and may even have an arch over with the films; but like the film, "X-Men TV" series must be action-stuffed. The film series, according to EOnline, earned 3 billion dollars globally and ranked 12th in the movie franchise business. 20th Century Fox bought the film franchise in 1994.

Watch out Arrow, The Flash, Gotham and other hero TV flicks! Look behind you, the 'X-men' team is coming!
