iMac is catching up with Apple's screens that have retina high-resolution like those found in MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones.
The Apple website has introduced to the public their all-in-one desktop, Thursday. The device was, officially, called iMac with a Retina 5K display. This will be the company's representation of the high-resolution display, yet.
Here are the iMac's specs when compared with other 27-inch standard models, which are still available in the market:
Display: This iMac's Retina 5K's screen has a diagonal measurement of 27 inches and takes pride of its 5,120×2,880 pixels resolution. According to the Mac Rumors, for only $250 more, you could purchase an iMac Retina 5K that has a 4.0 GHz Intel quad core i7 CPU. For another $200, you will get a 16 GB RAM; and $600 more for 32 GB RAM. An upgrade to the AMD R9 M290X Radeon graphics card will cost you another $250.
If you will decide to have the fastest central processing unit, the most RAM as well as the fanciest GPU, the iMac Retina 5K will cost you $3, 599. The standard iMac 27-inch can be purchased at $1, 799 bearing features as 3.4 GHz Intel quad-core i5 CPU, 1TB storage, 8 GB RAM, and NVIDIA GTX 775M GeForce graphic card.
