'Real Housewives' Welcomes Back Bethenny Frankel; Who Will Join Her In 'RHONY Season 7' Cast?
Bravo released a statement on Oct. 20, Monday, officially confirming Bethenny Frankel's return to "The Real Housewives Of New York" on its seventh season, Huffington Post has learned.
In the statement from Bravo, Frankel also said she was "genuinely excited" and "slightly nervous" for my return to "RHONY."
"Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can't wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us. Watch what happens!" Frankel said.
The 43-year-old TV personality is not the only one excited about the announcement. Executive Producer Andy Cohen also expressed his excitement and has nothing but good words about Frankel.
"Bethenny is one of the most popular Housewives in the history of the franchise and I couldn't be more excited she is coming home to Bravo!" Cohen said.
After starring in "RHONY" in its first three seasons, Frankel did not return for the fourth season in 2010 and went on marrying Jason Hoppy, who she eventually split from. The two have a four-year-old daughter named Bryn.
While she was not in "RHONY," Frankel had a lot of TV projects, which include "Bethenny Ever After" and her own talk show "Bethenny," which was canceled in May 2014 after failing to attract high ratings since it was launched again in Sept. 2013.
According to Bravo, Frankel's co-stars in "RHONY Season 7" have yet to be announced.
LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer are the only original cast members left as of the last season. Frankel's rival Kelly Bensimon and former friend Jill Zarin both left the show in 2011.
"I'm such a different person and in such a different place than when I was on first season," Frankel told US Weekly explaining her decision to come back to the reality show.
"Slightly exciting, a little bit of anxiousness, but it feels fresh. It doesn't feel like (how) I felt going into the third season of the Housewives. There was just so much muck and I just didn't feel it was good energy," she added.
