After 'Frozen', A Sneak Peek Into 'Moana', a 2016 Disney Presentation: Storyline is About Disney's First Polynesian Princess
After 2013 big hit movie "Frozen", Walt Disney Animated Classic series is all fired up to celebrate their 56th animated feature. Disney will go big time! According to Foodworldnews, their 2016 film entitled "Moana" will be an out of the ordinary Computer-Generated (CG) animated comedy-adventure film.
The film "Moana" is all about a 'born navigator' and her exciting unexpected undertakings in South Pacific 2000 years ago. Destined to be different, 14-year-old Moana Waialiki will try to accomplish her ancestor's quest to discover a fabled island in Ancient Oceania. Obviously, her journey will be action-packed. Moana, the first Polynesian princess of Disney, will have to face huge sea creatures, explore underworlds and age-old folklores and basically do everything in her power to fulfill her fate. Maui, a demi-god, will make sure Moana stays safe in her crazy journey.
No other than Oscar-nominated Ron Clements and John Musker will direct this unique film. Musker and Clements were the mastermind behind the hit animated movies like "The Little Mermaid", "Aladdin", "The Princess and the Frog". Clements revealed that making the "Moana" movie is a 'great thrill' for their career.
Meanwhile, Musker can't wait to introduce "Moana" to everyone. He describes "Moana" as a unique soul with 'deep' connection to the ocean. In his own words, "Moana is a passionate, spirited and a dreamer; the kind of character we all root for".
On the creative side of things, Bleeding cool reports that "Moana" film might be produced using a rare technique. The creative team of the new film will try to combine digital and hand-drawn animation. Using cutting-edge systems and software might just make that dream come true.
And to make the CG-animated film more spectacular, Disneywikia reports that Mark Mancina and Dave Metzger will handle the music side. Mancina is well known for composing music tracks for Brother Bear, Tarzan as well as the Lion King. Metzger on the other hand is a mastermind when it comes to orchestras.
The brain-storming stage of the film started last year. Most sources say that 2016 is the release date of the new film. Fxcnews on the other hand said that viewers will have their first peek November of next year.
