The Taiwanese tech giant HTC is reported to return with the HTC One M series smartphones with two new models One M9 and One M9 Prime. The predecessor HTC One M8 has achieved wide popularity but lacks the camera shooting quality with 4MP dual camera at back. To recover the customer satisfaction the One M8 has been introduced again with HTC One M8 Eye with 13MP camera. Let's take a comparison between the One M8 and One M9.
The HTC One M8 has smart Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen type display with 5.0-inch display screen size. The display contains 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution with premium sharp 441 pixels per inch. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display. The built in HTC Sense user interface version 6 remains there. The new One M9 will probably feature bigger screen o 5.2-inch. The display resolution will be enhanced to 1440 x 2560 pixels. Display type will contain the new model QHD Super LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen.
The HTC One M8 has dual 4MP camera sensor at the back and 5MP camera at front. In recent competitive market, the camera standard has been poor from the HTC in One M8. Though the company has introduced M8 Eye with 13MP rear and 13MP front camera sensor to cover to cover up the lacking in One M8. The HTC One M9 will probably come with the 13MP primary camera sensor with upgraded optical image stabilization system according to Christian Today.
The hardware configuration for the HTC One M8 has been quite impressive rather that the camera department. As mentioned in GSMARENA the One M8 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset that contains Quad-Core 2.3GHz for US/EMEA version and 2.5GHz for Asia and China version with Krait 400 processor. The GPU section has standard Adreno 330 emulator. Meanwhile the successor One M9 is expected to come with Hexa-core Snapdragon 808, One M9 Prime will have Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor, and the memory slot will be supplied with 3GB of RAM as indicated in Deccanchronicle.
The HTC One M9 will arrive with three variants i terms of internal storage, 16/32/64 GB internal storage based model will be available along with expandable miscoSD card slot facility up to 128GB. The battery will be updated to 3200mAh capacity from 2600 mAh battery. If everything goes according to plan this device is expected to hit the shelves 2 weeks after the Mobile World Congress event held within on 2 to 5 March.
