Paranormal Activity 5 Release Date, Plot and Other News: Paranormal Activity 5 Pushed Back for a 2015 Release and is Given a Name Change

Horror fans will have to wait a bit more - next year that is - as Paranormal Activity 5's 2014 release was pushed back to a 2015 release date.

According to Paramount, they will instead release Scouts vs Zombies in the place of Paranormal Activity 5. Another change Paramount has done is also to change Paranormal Activity 5's name to Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension and it will be the sixth in the horror movie installment.

Given the new subtitle attachment, viewers can expect a spookier Paranormal Activity 5 plot this time around as the movie will venture further into the unknown - that is the other dimension.

Why did the filmmakers take out the 5 from the Paranormal Activity 5? The reason, according to reports, is that they have miscounted the number of sequels they have done to date seeing that they're actually doing a sixth installment rather than a fifth.

But why did they also push back the Paranormal Activity 5 release date? Sources say that filmmakers did this to make way for other horror films such as Ouija, Dracula Untold, Amityville, The Awakening, Annabelle, Horns and many more.

Despite the changes, fans can still expect the same old footage approach they have all gone to love about the series in this latest installment.

Paranormal Activity 5 will be directed by Gregory Plotkin who had previous worked in the first four films as its editor. The film will also have Katie Featherston back.
