Snapchat Plunges Into Advertisement: Revenue Up To $10 Billion, Earnings To Provide
Snapchat is reportedly sponsored the first very 20-second trailer video of the forthcoming film titled "Ouija", a horror movie. The pioneer advertisement of the horror film was released on October 18, 2014. According to IB Times, the Californai based company, Venice Beach, announced Friday that Snapchat is now open for variety of brands to be advertised.
As stated in Huffington Post trailer of the film "Ouija" appears on the app's "Recent Update" section and it did not made it clear about the number of users can receive the ad. It was revealed last week by the company that it will add a sponsored content on the same section and it is the first time that they have done it and received a payment for it.
Snapchat said that users will expect advertisement in that particular "Recent Update" section of the app from time to time and it would up to them if they are going to watch it or not. Moreover these advertisements cannot be blocked and it will just disappear in 24 hours or after it is being viewed.
Additional info is that the company will not allow any ad to meddle in the personal communication of the users. Eevan Spiegel the CEO of Snapchat said that they are using new technology in sorting or arranging the ads and just get the essential part of it.It is also reported that the Snapchat will have generating revenue that will reach to a total of $10 billion this coming July.
The company also said that the money earned from the advertisements introduced to the Snapchat service will be used in the continuing and delivering precise, clearer, and better content to the users. Just recently Snapchat has encountered major problems on its service where the Snapsave app was hacked and the photos stored in it were leaked to numerous users.
Snapchat find it weird at first at first in placing ads to the space however they said that they will be used to it and the users has the freedom to look for it or not.
