Lead Pastor Jamie Nunnally Releases Worship Album "God is With Us" Amidst Shepherding
Lead pastor of Victory Fellowship Church in Thomasville, GA, Jamie Nunnally has released his brand new worship album "God is with Us." Nunnally is one of the few senior pastors who also writes and performs worship music.
"Music is so important to the body of Christ because it brings about unity. Christians may sometimes disagree over theology but when we all join together and sing to the Lord, we immediately lay those differences aside." Nunnally has a passion to supply songs to the church that will lead believers into the presence of the Lord. "I believe music is a spiritual medium." says Nunnally. "We receive music not just with our ears but also with our spirits. I believe that the very glory of God can ride upon music that is focused on Him and can effect supernatural change in the hearts of those who listen and sing."
Balancing church duties and musical pursuits can be difficult at best, according to Nunnally. "Most pastors write books whenever they want to expand their message beyond the pulpit. For whatever reason, at least for this season of my life, I feel like God is asking me to minister to the Body of Christ through songs."
Nunnally's latest release, "God is With Us," is a modern rock-based worship album, a follow-up to his debut "Hope Remains" which was released in 2012. "Hope Remains" featured guitarist Jason Hoard (Third Day) and drummer Brian Scoggins (Casting Crowns). The song "Hope Remains" was played on dozens of Christian radio stations worldwide.
