'Back to the Future':1985 Film is Now Showing Once More
Film reinventions seem to be the hottest trend in the movie industry today and 1985's "Back to the Future" is now set to join the crowd but this time, it is expected to be coming back in more ways than one.
Considered as one of the eighties classic films, "Back to the Future" by Robert Zemeckis that starred Michael J. Fox, is a time-travelling teen comedy that has managed to become close to the hearts of many fans worldwide.
Next year, this well loved comedy film will be officially thirty years old and according to Consequence of Sound, Universal Pictures is set to celebrate this momentous event with a series of special screenings that will feature live orchestration.
The said screenings are going to be held in different cities all over the world that will start next May. According to First Showing, the Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency and IMG Artists are behind this anniversary event that will kick off with the world premiere in Lucerne, Switzerland and will feature the 21st Century Orchestra. So far, this is the only venue that has been revealed but it is expected that there will still be other chances for fans to catch the special opening of their favorite film without necessarily having to travel to Europe just to participate.
Every screening will be made even more special by the live orchestra performance of the Academy Award-nominated score of Alan Silvestri aside from the fifteen minutes of the latest music that Silvestri has specially composed for this highly anticipated anniversary celebration.
Some of the other exciting activities that have been planned for the upcoming thirtieth anniversary of "Back to the Future" include the film's musical adaptation that has been written by Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis, the original screenwriters. This is set to be staged in West End in London in 2015. And even though this is not an affiliated project, there is a Californian startup that is planning to launch a hoverboard inspired by "Back to the Future." This will be on the 21st of October 2015, which is also the very day when Marty McFly has travelled to the future.
