The New Google Inbox: Improving Mobile Workflow Through Useful Email Triage Tools
The new Google Inbox is now made available. Though Google puts some limits on the app's release, others will have to wait for them to check it app.
According to Tech Crunch, the new Google Inbox is a good looking app, which benefits from the new commitment of Google to the principals of Material Design across its apps. The animations are great. There are primary colors everywhere, which allows users to know exactly where they are in the app. The controls and apps are also well-designed and clearly indicative of what they actually represent. The only complaint of those who have tested it out is that the "Done" section will require you to click repeatedly, which is an important button on the mobile software.
In terms of features and functions, there are Google Apps deployments. Google quickly separates the automated emails from the "real" ones into several categories with the use of the functionality that it similar to the Categories it has launched for Gmail recently.
Omnifeed also revealed that there will be three sections that will define your email. These include the main inbox, Done group, and Snoozed section and users can reach these through the easy to use pull out sidebar menu. With the new Google Inbox, you will also be able to access the new categories and legacy email folders. A Plus icon located at the bottom right corner of the app will also let you compose emails or reminders quickly. It also comes with quick access to your latest inbox contacts.
As The Verge stated, adding power on your email is a great idea. The new Google Inbox is like a combination of an inbox and a to-do list, which most people want especially those who have hectic schedules. The inbox is also like the email's future, which is a tool that shows you everything require to get everything done and allowing you to accomplish it all. There is also tons of algorithm design condensing and tweaking to do, yet it is not hard to imagine that Inbox is a much better option compared to Gmail.
