"Orphan Black": A Canadian Sci-Fi Television Show Series, is Set to have its Third Season
According to IBTimes, the cast and the production team of the television series have started filming of the upcoming season in the land of Canada. John Fawcett cites that he has outrageous ideas for the upcoming season, including the introduction of the male clones' storyline arc.
The past season of the "Orphan Black" series ended with a twist about the male clones. Sarah was introduced to her younger clone sister and also unveiled that male clones existed. Apparently, Sarah, along with other female clones, is part of the Project Leda of Dyad, while the military classified Project Castor deals with the male clones. In the Season 2 finale, Mark is revealed to be a clone as well.
Aside from Mark, other male clones were shown in the Season 2 finale as well. Playing the lead role of the new male clones will be Ari Millen. The upcoming season 3 is also expected to introduce additional male clones to the roster. Michiel Huisman will also be returning to play his role again, Cal Morrison. Morrison was revealed as the former lover of Sarah and Kira's father.
However, noted in Franchise Herald it is reported that there is still no air date posted for the upcoming season 3 of "Orphan Black".
Tatiana Maslany, a main star in the Canadian sci-fi series, has another project. The lead star will be appearing in a theater show titled "The Way We Get By" by Neil LaBute, which also features Thomas Sadoski, a Tony Award nominee.
The live performance will be shown in the upcoming spring season. According to Variety, Tatiana will play as Beth in counterpart for Sadoski. The two are described as sexual predators who hit it off at a wedding and will later wake up to find themselves in an awkward situation.
The CarterMatt reports that the upcoming theater show, which will start previews in the coming May of 2015, will be an opportunity for the lead star to further brighten her career and improve her portfolio with the added publicity.
