HTC One M8 Specs Vs iPhone 6: Which Could Be Your Next Phone?
When it comes to picking your next smartphone, the decision is not going to easy to be easy this holiday season. Apparently there are many, many new releases in the last couples of months and each one of them is incredible. From the recent Nexus 6 to Samsung Galaxy S5 released earlier this year, the list of comparisons is limitless.
However, amongst these devices HTC One M8 is one of the most incredible options. It was being purchased in great numbers till now; the release of Apple iPhone 6 has changed things a lot. Apple has set new standards and now it comes down to what specifications you think are more apt.
Overall Design
Heads up, these are two very different phones carrying the marquee design inspirations from a brand that we have known for years. Where iPhone 6 is taller and slimmer, HTC M8 offers a wider look and bigger screen feeling. You'd probably like to go with Apple's phone, which is around 35% slimmer.
Display
HTC offers a larger screen at just over 5-inch while Apple iPhone 6 stands at 4.7-inch. In fact even in the department of pixels, HTC wins this one at 1080 by 1920-pixel while Apple has 750 by 1334-pixel, which still makes everything look great with Retina Display advantage. On the other hand, Apple's maximum brightness engineering score is way better than HTC.
Processor Performance
Apple's A8 processors backed by a hexa-core GPU with 1 GB RAM is a monster in everything. iPhone 6 has hardly lagged handling multiple applications or during aggressive game play. Having said that, HTC One M8's Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor at 2.3GHz with 2 GB RAM isn't bad either. It's actually difficult to judge the devices here.
Camera and Price
HTC offers a unique Dual 4 Ultrapixel camera, which works great in all kinds of lighting conditions coupled with a powerful 5 MP front camera. On the other hand, Apple's iSight 8 MP is also known to deliver great pictures, but front camera is not so great.
HTC One M8 is available at $899.99
Apple iPhone 6 64 GB is available at $799
