'X-Men: Days of Future Past': A Thrilling and Fun Superhero Movie
ScreenRant described "X-Men: Days of Future Past" as a thrilling and fun movie, which was balanced by dramatic weight.
The film imagines a near-future wherein both humans and mutants have been decimated through deadly killing machines, which are called The Sentinels. In this dystopia, Professor X and Magneto gather the best and most powerful surviving X-Men for the last ditch effort in stopping the Sentinel war, which alters the past so that it would never happen at the first place.
That plan need Kitty Pryde sending the consciousness of Wolverine back into his body during the 1970s to stop the event that may set the history on the dark future's course forever. However, things are bleak in the past and young Mystique, Magneto, and Charles Xavier were all damaged as well as estranged from one another. The event of Cuban Missile Crisis have inspired the beginnings of Sentinel program and with each passing moment in the future, Sentinels get closer to eliminate the last of X-Men and destroying every hope.
According to Cinemablend, there are other things to talk about the film, yet the rest should be enjoyed and experienced in your home theater. For instance, Quicksilver is a great addition to the growing mutant stable and the best use of mutant-friendly imagination of Singer. The film also pays tribute to the impressive franchise history.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" also plants more narrative seeds, which could be cultivated through either Singer or some vested directors with an interest in the mutants of Marvel. And as this stands, it's the best, most entertaining, and most complete X-Men movie.
So far, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is the most ambitious movie in the franchise, which attempt to take the whole six-film saga and reboot it through a story that's both spectacle and drama that is meant to honor the original trilogy.
IGN also reported that "X-Men: Days of Future Past" also lets the series to be reset as many were disappointed with the last installment and raises numerous questions. Yet, thanks to "X-Men: Days of Future Past", everything was cleared.
