'Red Band Society' Episode 6: New Guest Stars Arrive and Fox Orders More Scripts
New guest stars will appear on the new episode of "Red Band Society," which is scheduled to air on November 5, 2014, on FOX Network.
Entitled "Ergo, Ergo," the episode will be about Jordi making his move after Leo abandoned Emma. Then, Hunter, portrayed by guest star Daren Kagasoff, is a new patient at the hospital, which puts Kara off balance. For the meantime, Nurse Jackson does her best to keep Charlie at the Ocean Park and in doing so, sides with Dr. McAndrew's ex and Dr. Grace. You can be sure that the new episode of "Red Band Society," airing on November 5, is filled with funny moments.
In addition to Daren Kagasoff, Mandy Moore will also appear as a guest star, according to KSiteTV.
TV reported that Fox has ordered more scripts of "Red Band Society" and, as is always the case with script orders, this one will also come with the standard disclaimer. For those who don't know about script orders, if a network asks for more scripts, it is typically a good sign, because it is a strong indication that the show will not be cancelled. (It is also a way of saying that a television series is viewed favorably.) However, the request is not a guarantee that additional episodes will be filmed. The practice only allows for the continued production of a show while the network labors over the decision regarding whether or not it will order a full season.
But, in the case of this television series, the script order could be considered stalling, as the show is not garnering impressive viewer numbers. The pilot that aired on September 17, 2014, only drew 4.1 million viewers and gained a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. While the figures might appear significant to everyday viewers, they don't actually represent a positive start—particularly when you consider that the "Red Band Society" debuted earlier than the majority of other new shows in the same category, and its series premiere was aired in competition with episodes that were mostly reruns. Furthermore, episode 5 managed to scrounge up an audience of 3.17 million viewers and a 1.0 rating, which indicates that the show is just hanging on by a television thread.
