Taylor Swift's highly anticipated new album 1989 finally released today and her BFF Selena Gomez took to instagram to share some kind words.
"From hotel room album listening parties, kitchen dance floor album listening parties to driving on the pch, windows down album listening parties. -The best part is we were the only ones there. Each time. So happy, honored and proud to know you and your diaries. @taylorswift #1989 BUY IT!!! -now I'll listen live from drowning in my bed sheets." the 22-year-old entertainer wrote on her Instagram along with the picture you can see above.
Taylor then responded to Selena writing, "This post made my day. I can't believe I'm lucky enough to have friends like this."
If you haven't purchased Swift's new album yet, you can pick it up on iTunes by clicking here. Swift's first single "Shake It Off" immediately went to No.1 on the Billboard 100.
Taylor shared that the reason for the title was that it is her birth date (December 13, 1989) but also that she likes to have two years in between albums to see her growth in her Yahoo live interview with fans. She shared that her new album would be her first full on pop album and inspired from the music of the 80's that she has been listening to.
Taylor Swift also joined "The Voice" Season 7 on NBC tonight as the key advisor for this season's 'knockout rounds'. She will be on the show tomorrow night as well.
Swift tweeted pictures of herself last month with the judges writing, "Way excited about being a 'key advisor' on @NBCTheVoice. Here are some pics of me and the coaches that I key advised."
Swift is helping all four teams as the 'key advisor' in the same role that Coldplay singer Chris Martin did last year in Season 6. You can tune in to "The Voice" on NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8/7c.
