'Ori And the Blind Forest' Review
“Ori and the Blind Forest” is undeniably one of the most highly awaited Xbox One games of 2014. Players have been so keen to learn more about the game ever since it was first unveiled at E3 earlier this year.
Developed by Moon Studios and soon-to-be published by Microsoft, Ori and the Blind Forest is a heart-melting, visually-imposing game available for the Xbox One and PC. It features a dramatically formidable gameplay that focuses on the emotional story of love and sacrifice. This impressive looking 2D platform adventure will surely amazed all gamers.
When the Prologue and Sunken Glades were revealed, fans were even more eager and enthusiastic. The ten-minute video showed the breathtaking beauty of the Ori’s world along with its wonderfully created animated characters.
In the prologue, the place was struck by a great storm which separated Ori from the Spirit Tree. The orphan Ori, a childlike guardian spirit from the forest was then saved by the kind and caring Naru, which eventually showed a parent/child connection.
The two spent most of their days in the Forest of Nibel until one night, when Ori was awaken by an echoing sound coming from the forest. The Spirit Tree was the one calling out Ori. However, Ori did not answer, so the tree’s power soon began to fade away, and forest started to die.
Ori’s aesthetic is something to behold. Movement-wise, its level of precision is totally amazing. It is fast and smooth with compelling animations to match. This is indeed a big plus for Microsoft as it might be the perfect game that could match Sony’s stellar line-up of indie titles. The game itself is spectacular. It has an emotional appeal that will definitely captivate every player. The controls and the gameplay are also incredibly refined, so players would surely end up loving this game. Ori and the Blind Forest is expected to be released this coming Fall of 2014.
