Blackberry Classic News and Updates: CEO Chen posted an Open Letter to Lure Back Loyal and New Customers to the Classic Phone we Always Loved

Blackberry Classic is a way for the Canadian company to bounce back to the smartphone arena.

Last Wednesday, Blackberry CEO John Chen posted an open letter showcasing the Blackberry Classic as the newest flagship of the company. This is to prove that the company is still up and running and ready to compete in the mobile phone market.

The Blackberry Classic, known formerly as Blackberry Q20, is an attempt for the company to regain the smartphone market while sticking to the QWERTY keypad and a navigation trackpad that Blackberry is known for.

The market for the Blackberry classic is gearing towards big businesses and government agencies and is expected to be launched by the end of this year. The Foxconn-designed phone may face a big challenge in gaining the trust from these intended markets as more and more businesses and government agencies are basking into the light of the iOS powered phones and Android devices, according to CNET.

Chen's letter is the subject of this plan by Blackberry, which is to tell loyal and new customers to stick with the "classic" phones versus "trendy" phones. Read on below:

"It's tempting in a rapidly changing, rapidly growing mobile market to change for the sake of change -- to mimic what's trendy and match the industry-standard, kitchen-sink approach of trying to be all things to all people.

But there's also something to be said for the classic adage, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

BlackBerry Classic reflects that. It is classic BlackBerry -- complete with a top row of navigation keys and a trackpad. It's the device that has always felt right in your hands and always felt right in your busy day.

Of course, we've made quite a few enhancements around the edges and on the inside. The screen is bigger and sharper. Our application catalogue is growing. The BlackBerry 10 operating system incorporates all the best productivity and collaboration features on any mobile device, including the BlackBerry Hub and our all-new BlackBerry Blend."

Stay tuned for the Blackberry Release date said to be before the year ends.
