Samsung has just released year's most anticipated smartphone the Galaxy Note Edge in Japan and the comparing, criticism, pros and cons of the device are spreading like fireballs. However, like the name Galaxy Note Edge shares some similar specification of the Galaxy Note 4 that has been often compared with the Galaxy Alpha. Let's review the comparison of Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and Samsung Galaxy Alpha.

The display type of the Galaxy Note Edge covered by Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, which is framed within 5.6-inch screen. The resolution and pixel density of the Note Edge is claimed as one of the world's best with 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and 524 pixels per inch. This is the first curved edge screen smartphone of the world that comes with S pen Stylus. Similarly, the Galaxy Alpha also comes with traditional high-end Super AMOLED display type featured in a 4.7-inch display size. The pixel density has been downgraded to 312 pixels per inch.

The hardware specification is heavily powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset that supports Quad-Core 2.7GHz Krait 450 processor. The graphics emulator is packed with Adreno 420 GPU system. Other smartphone Galaxy Alpha is packed with Exynos 5 Octa chipset coupled with Quad-Core 1.8GHz and Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor. The GPU section is powered by Mali-T628 chip. Galaxy Note Edge is provided with mighty 3GB of RAM slot while Galaxy Alpha features 2GB of RAM.

Galaxy Note Edge comes with similar camera sensor specification like Note 4 that includes 16MP back camera and 3.7MP front camera sensor. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Alpha is also packed with moderate 12MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera sensor that performs decently.

Galaxy Note Edge offers 32/64GB of internal storage model with 128GB expandable memory feature. The Galaxy Alpha is bound to 32GB of internal storage but lacks the provision of external storage facility. Both the devices are operated with Android 4.4.4KitKat.
