CentricWorship Releases First Single, "Nothing But The Blood" Plus Live Video, Watch Here (VIDEO) |
CentricWorship releases its first church single, "Nothing But The Blood," off the label's new worship EP, All The Saints: Live From The CentricWorship Retreat-No. 1 for download today, March 4, 2014. With its memorable melodies and traditional hymn-like elements, "Nothing But The Blood" captivates listeners and worship musicians alike, becoming an instant classic for now and years to come.
"Nothing But The Blood" was birthed during a demo session for another song, when co-writers Michael Farren and Corey Voss began discussing how "the blood" is a subject rarely presented in today's modern worship songs. Remembers Voss, "Spontaneously Michael said, 'I have an idea. Do you want to chase it?'" Voss immediately jumped on board. Substituting a new melody for the demo song's old chorus and constructing new verses, Farren and Voss created a powerful and timeless track in that God-inspired moment.

"I believe this song fits so well in congregational worship," says Voss. "Musically it has a modern worship style and echoes the classic hymn-like feel that we all love. Lyrically, it is thought provoking and stirs a response in the believer's heart. It's such a powerful declaration of what Jesus did for us. I believe this song will be used to bring freedom and revelation to both the broken and the lost."
Also unveiling today is the "Nothing But The Blood" live video captured during CentricWorship's week-long songwriting retreat in the beautiful Cascade Mountains, where "Nothing But The Blood
was written and recorded.
CentricWorship will be featured during a live Webinar on PraiseCharts.com today, Tuesday March 4th at 12 p.m. EST. Fans will have the opportunity to hear live commentary by CentricWorship founder, Steve Rice, and "Nothing But The Blood" co-writer Michael Farren about All The Saints: Live From The CentricWorship Retreat-No. 1.
