Dtroit Reed Releases "Turnaround Day" on Nov. 24
Dtroit Reed will be releasing his brand new album "Turnaround Day" on November 24. Blending Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop, and R&B, with Traditional and Contemporary Gospel music. "Turnaround Day" is brimming with Holy Spirit energy delivered to a modern sound.
The first single from the album is the title cut "Turnaround Day." The song is aim to rejuvenate those yearning to move forward in their spiritual walk with purpose and hope. The entire album welcomes people from all walks of life to share Dtroit Reed's passion for God, while echoing the struggles present in everyday life.
Reed is from Detroit, MI. He has been singing since his early childhood and began playing piano at the age of nine. Coming from a musical family, D. Reed always knew he would have a musical career to be a singer, songwriter or producer. D. Reed knew he had to fulfill his musical dream. D. Reed is an experienced performer who sang in the church and school choirs throughout his formative years.
He began preaching and playing for the church choir at the age of twelve. As a producer, he's contributed his musical talents with artists such as Mark Holley and 1-A-Chord, Brotha Dre, Goodson, Nikki Cotton, Pastor Eryk Anglin, BB Jay, Jay Michaelz and many others. He currently has titles on several compilations with worldwide distribution via EMI Gospel and Warner Bros. He has also produced with musicians such as Chico Debarge, Dana Davis, and Billy Meadows. He's shared the stage with Hip-Hop icon DMX and countless other great talents. He's also performed at Detroit's legendary Music Hall and at Detroit's annual Ribs 'N' Soul Festival.
His talents have carried him to many places in the continental United States and have garnered him a growing fan base in London, UK. D. Reed's style is a blend of Soul, Hip-Hop, R&B, Neo Soul, Traditional as well as Contemporary Gospel music. He touches relevant subject matter and his passion for God and music is present and evident in his work. He has set out to change music to better enlighten people through the word of God. Hearing this artist is a unique and wonderful experience! D. Reed's work, to this date, is just the beginning.
