Ernie Haase, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, TaRanda Greene and Others Pay Their Respects at Lari Goss' Funeral
The funeral service where Lari Goss' life was celebrated was held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Brentwood Baptist Church Worship Center in Brentwood, TN. Speakers included Rev. Stan Mitchell, Senior Pastor of GracePointe church (Franklin, TN), and Rev. Jim Cymbala, Senior Pastor of New York's Brooklyn Tabernacle.
Those who paid tribute in music include the Nashville String Machine orchestra, Gerald Wolfe, Scott Fowler, Ernie Haase, Mark Trammell, TaRanda Greene, Nancy Harmon, and Julie Goss, backed by a 100-plus voice choir made up of members of Brentwood Baptist (Brentwood, TN), The People's Church (Franklin, TN), and Nashville's Christ Church choirs, and directed by Carol Cymbala of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.
During the service, there were two special video clips. The first was a black and white video clip of The Goss Brothers - James, Roni and Lari, which brought spontaneous applause from the crowd at one point, because of their tremendous harmony and arrangement on the song, "Keys To The Kingdom."
The second was a candid video clips of Lari - some serious moments, and some not-so-serious moments, taken in the recording studio during a session. The Nashville String Machine also performed Lari's last work, "Beyond The Sunset," which he completed 2 days before his passing.
Lari Goss is best known within the Christian music industry in the areas of music production, orchestral arranging and keyboard artistry.
