James Carothers Releases New Single "I Must be Alive" (Watch Video)
Newcomer country artist James Carothers has just released his brand new single "I Must Be Alive," a track taken from his album "Honky Tonk Land." The single is currently holding the #67 spot on the MusicRow Chart, and the track is opening doors for Carothers as it continues its upward climb.
According to Mike Thomas, KWRE/KFAV Radio, "This is the sound we've all been asking for ... real, honest Country that's hip enough to make it with today's fans." Randy McDaniel, KXRB Classic Country expands, saying, "there's no doubt about this guy. Give a listen to his new single and you might find yourself hearing a little Jamey Johnson, a dash of Travis Tritt and some 'Ol Waylon as well."
Further, on February 25, Carothers will make his debut on 650 AM WSM's "Coffee, Country and Cody" show as Bill Cody's guest artist. The 9:30 a.m. CT interview and performance will stream live.
Carothers will enjoy his first Country Radio Seminar, sitting down for interviews throughout the conference, and hosting an industry breakfast/performance from 8-9 a.m. at Puckett's Downtown on February 26. On March 18, Carothers will make his first appearance at the storied Nashville Palace when he joins numerous Country legends for the All-Star Whitey Shafer Benefit Show, hosted by Moe Bandy.
A favorite on the Southwest and Midwest tour circuits for the last several years, James performed regularly at venues ranging from county fairs, to honky tonks to outdoor events with over 10,000 fans from his previous home base in New Mexico. Recently signed to an exclusive, global booking agreement with Nashville-based Third Coast Talent, the engaging entertainer is looking forward to getting back on the road with his tight-knit band. Gritty and original songs are his trademark, and James delivers stirring and hard-hitting performances in his gut-bucket baritone.
Enjoy a special acoustic video performance of "I Must Be Alive."
