Vertical Church's Jon Guerra Will Release His Debut "Little Songs"
Vertical Church's worship leader Jon Guerra will release his first full-length debut,Little Songs, via Essential Records/Provident Label Group April 21, 2015. As a member of Vertical Church Band, Guerra leads worship at Chicago's Harvest Bible Chapel when he's not on the road.
Prior to taking his place among the worship collective, the Wheaton, Ill.-native cut his teeth as a jingle writer for mega companies like Comcast, Chase Bank and Allstate Insurance. In addition, he's opened for the likes of .fun, and was courted by labels before finally signing with Essential Records in 2014.
Little Songs reflects Guerra's skilled musicianship and vast experience and reveals his heart for worship. Relevant Magazine is already praising Guerra's offerings as "some of the most creative music we have heard in a while... "Inspired by everyone from Bob Dylan and Rich Mullins to Emily Dickinson and George Herbert, Guerra fuses the personal with the prolific."
"The most personal songs are the most worshipful for me, and every song on the record is extremely personal," Guerra shares. "All of these 11 songs are my best effort at being a songwriter, at pleasing God, at giving something that I think is going to be useful to my friends and family in their journey of faith, and something that will be useful to churches on a Sunday morning as they're trying to engage with God as a faith community."
Following his stint on the Rock & Worship Roadshow, Guerra will join Matt Maher on "The Saints & Sinners Tour" this spring. For tour dates and more information on Jon Guerra, visit www.jonguerramusic.com, www.facebook.com/jonguerramusic orwww.twitter.com/iamjonguerra.
