NEEDTOBREATHE Gets a Billboard s Top Christian Album Nomination
NEEDTOBREATHE has been nominated for Billboard's Top Christian Album for ""Rivers in the Wasteland," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 upon its release last year. This is the first Billboard nomination for the band, who received their first GRAMMY® nomination last year for "Multiplied," also featured on RIVERS IN THE WASTELAND.
The Billboard nomination coincides with the continued success of their latest single, "Brother (feat. Gavin DeGraw)," also from RIVERS IN THE WASTELAND, which received early support from Christian radio. This week, it hit top 5 at CHR and broke the top 15 at NCA. Entertainment Weekly, which premiered the track, called the song "...full, anthemic, a little bit woodsy and alarmingly catchy."
As the latest single continues to soar at radio, the three time Dove Award winning Group of the Year prepares to release its first live album, NEEDTOBREATHE: LIVE FROM THE WOODS on April 14, recorded in Nashville, TN. Shortly thereafter, they will launch their first North American headlining tour of 2015, "Tour De Compadres." The 40 city run supports RIVERS IN THE WASTELAND, and kicks off at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, AL on April 23rd. The aptly named tour sees the ten-time Dove Award winners bringing out some of their best friends for these special nights, including Ben Rector, Switchfoot, Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors and Colony House.
