Lauren Daigle Responds to Her Three Dove Awards Nominations
Singer and songwriter Lauren Daigle has been honored with three GMA Dove Awards nominations: New Artist of the Year(Category 8), Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year ("How Can It Be") and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year ("How Can It Be"). The 46th Annual Dove Awards will take place on Tuesday evening, October 13th in Nashville, TN,. Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will exclusively air the program on Sunday, October 18th.

The past two years have been an incredible music journey for the 23-year-old singer/songwriter, who was dubbed Christian music's "IT" girl in the April issue of CCM Magazine. Daigle's first full album,How Can It Be, debuted No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Albums Chart and is currently No. 5 on Billboard's Current Contemporary Christian chart. At the same time, How Can It Be remains in the Top 5 on iTunes Christian Albums chart. The title track and last single is No. 7 on iTunes Top 10 Christian downloads, while her second single, "First," is racing up the charts. It's currently No. 4 on the same iTunes chart, No. 12 on Billboard's National Christian Audience chart and No. 17 on AC Monitored.
Daigle's music has been getting great exposure, as she wraps up the Outcry Tour 2015 with Hillsong United, Jesus Culture, Kari Jobe, among many others, and will soon join Air 1 Positive Hits Tour with Crowder, Finding Favour, NF and 3 For 3. It also has just been announced that Daigle will join Casting Crowns Thrive Tour this fall that will run October 8 - November 18th. Lafayette, LA native, Lauren Daigle had her first full album, How Can It Be, debut No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Albums Chart in 2015. Her second single from the project, "First," is already in the Top 15 at Billboard and Top 5 at iTunes. She was named one of Christian music's 2014 breakout artists with her debut EP, How Can It Be, reaching No. 1 on iTunes Christian Albums Chart and named as one of the Top 20 Christian releases last year by the online retail outlet. The title track went Top Ten at Christian radio, No. 1 on iTunes Christian Singles Chart and named by iTunes as one of the Top Christian songs of 2014. The song also earned Daigle her first music industry awards show nomination from the K-LOVE Fan Awards for Worship Song of the Year.
