Erin Bates Releases New Instrumental Christmas Album "Comfort and Joy"
Christian pianist Erin Bates releases her debut instrumental Christmas album "Comfort and Joy." Four-time Grammy winning Andy Leftwich accompanies Erin on the fiddle and mandolin. The album is a delightful blend of sentimental hymns and classic carols that bring alive the Christmas spirit for the holidays.
Erin writes: "Christmas to me is more than time of year. It's sitting around an open fire. It's cold and snowy weather. It's drinking hot chocolate with the ones I love. It's singing carols. It's Dad reading the story of our Saviour's birth, reminding us that the true meaning of Christmas is where we find our comfort and joy!
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to record a Christmas album, and working with four-time Grammy-winning, Andy Leftwich has been a dream. Not only is he an incredibly skilled musician, he is also one of the most creative producers I have ever worked with. I am grateful that he lent his talents to this project.
Most of all, thank you to my husband Chad, the love of my life. There are no words that could begin to express the joy he brings me. Chad, you are my everything! Sharing this Christmas with you and our baby Carson is going to bring a whole new meaning to my Christmas."
