‘Joey + Rory Show’ Marathon to Air on Thanksgiving Day
Joey Feek of country duo Joey and Rory has been diagnosed with Stage IV cervical cancer. After the cancer has sprad, the couple have decided to end all treatments. Joey has chosen to spend her final days at home with her husband and young daughter. In honor of Feek, RFD-TV will celebrate the pair with a marathon of The Joey + Rory Show, ending with a special that features country music stars paying tribute to the couple on Thanksgiving Day.
On Thanksgiving Day, RFD-TV and Rural Radio (SiriusXM Channel 147) will honor the Feeks with a special day of programming called "To Joey + Rory with Love." Beginning at 9am ET, the network will launch a five-hour marathon of fan-favorite episodes of The Joey + Rory Show," followed at 7:30pm ET by a special broadcast of personal messages to the Feeks from their fans and music luminaries including Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Marty Stuart and Connie Smith.
The special programming starts at 9 a.m. (ET) with a five-hour marathon of the 10 best episodes of Joey + Rory from the past three years. Then, at 7:30 p.m. ET (with a replay at 11:30 p.m.), RFD-TV will air an exclusive broadcast of personal messages to the Feeks from fans and country-music stars such as Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Marty Stuart, Connie Smith, and more.
In February, Joey + Rory's Hymns That Are Important to Us album will be released, with proceeds benefiting the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation, in honor of the Feeks' daughter Indiana's best friend Scout, who has Loeys-Dietz Syndrome.
