Staci Smith Fills "Count It All Joy" With Lots of Inspirational Ballads
Singer and songwriter Staci Smith has just released her new EP "Count It All Joy" on Dec. 4th. The album is full of original uplifting inspirational ballads featuring Staci's soothing angelic vocals that will reach out and touch your heart and undoubtedly bring joy to anyone who hear them.
The new EP features Staci's first set of co-written songs with Dove Award-winning songwriters Don Koch and Kenn Mann and draws upon her own life for inspiration. The moving lyrics are about the things that have left marks on her own life and heart that speak about joy, grief, love, hope for the future, being thankful, having faith and her own Christian journey.
Staci's spiritually rich upbringing and her commitment to living life fully in the recognition that each day is the day the Lord has made is contagious and inspiring. Music has always been important in Staci's life, but it wasn't until her grandmother and mother's death 10 years ago that she began to sing professionally. In her moments of grieving and looking for that joy that can come from knowing the Lord our God, Jesus as our Savior, she came to realize that the songs and singing that she had such a passion for was actually a gift God had given to her to bring her joy no matter what might be going on in her life.
Since that period of grieving, Staci has dived wholeheartedly into sharing through music the messages of God's love and hope to encourage and inspire others. Growing up music was an ingrained part of her family traditions. Her father played flute and piano and was in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Her grandmother was a singer and on any given day you could her humming a song while she worked, something you can also find Staci doing her whole life. Her grandmother's sister played the organ at her church and taught piano lessons till she passed at age 100 recently. Some of her fondest memories are those moments when one or more in her family would gather around the piano to play or sing. Christmas Eve services are another one of her favorite memories as the family would all sit and sing hymns in church together.
Staci is a worship and praise leader on an evangelistic outreach in Clearwater Beach and can be found there often on Sunday evenings. Staci also completed her first EP album "Whisper to My Heart" after she returned from a missions trip to South Africa as part of the "Voices of Praise" participating in Multi-Media's ministry's and Henry Blackaby's "Experiencing God" crusade and revival conference. During that trip, her music pastor encouraged her to begin to learn songwriting and to sing about her own personal walk with God and journey as a Christian and to share her own heart in her music.
