Sandi Patty Revisits Steven Curtis Chapman's "Love Will be Our Home" 24 Years Later
Sandi Patty re-records Steven Curtis Chapman's "Love Will be Our Home" nearly 24 years later. The multiple GMA Dove Award winner first recorded the song in 1992 for her Make His Praise Glorious album. Now, she has re-visited the same song for her new Forever Grateful album.
Patty says of the song: "I first heard this song close to 30 years ago. This new "up and coming" song writer, Steven Curtis Chapman, sent it to me and wondered if I would like to record it. I so loved what it said 30 years ago, but now the lyrics mean so much more. Our bruised and beautiful blended bunch-we have lived a lot of life together and this song truly speaks our hearts. The very very best part is that the kids and Don are singing with me on the track. JUST THE FAMILY-no hired BGV's to make it sound better-just us. Blemish and all. I am so thankful that God is still the God of second, third, fourth etc, chances. Indeed our prayer has been all these year that LOVE would be our home!"
Sandi Patty reveals that she will be releasing her new album Forever Grateful on February 15th. The CD will be available exclusively at LifeWay Christian Stores.
