KEESHA RAINEY Continues Moving Forward Nationally With New Single "I'M MOVING"
Nashville native Keesha Rainey began traveling and performing along-side the quartet group Donnie, Darryl, & The Joyboyz. "They took me under their wing and took time out to develop and launch my career. I'm thankful for that," says Rainey. With the Joyboyz tutelage and via their indie label JSound Records, Keesha released her debut album BREAKTHROUGH in 2009 which ignited her talent as a songwriter. Keesha wrote the title track "Breakthrough" and co-wrote "Rejoice In The Lord" which hit #1 on several internet radio stations in 2010. With growing notoriety for her debut album and her talents, Keesha captured several independent music awards: The Blockbuster Showdown "2012 Upcoming Artist Award", The "Artist of the Year Award" at the 2013 Gospel Music City Awards, and The "Contemporary Artist of the Year Award" at the 2013 Nashville Independent Music Awards. Keesha then released her sophomore project LORD YOU produced by One Staj Music Group. Keesha is now preparing for an all new release in 2017. Although she is known for powerful worship and contemporary gospel vocals stylings, Keesha is introducing a new single that is an urban inspired, dance infused gospel track "I'm Moving". "I am so excited about my new single and believe this song is the start of what will be an amazing movement," Keesha shares. "The inspiration behind it as a songwriter was that I just wanted to make people happy...happy to the point where when they hear the song they can't help but move because it's feeling so good to them." "I'm Moving" is a feel-good song with a lyrical theme of encouragement and empowerment in which Keesha hopes listeners are able to not only groove to, but find comfort and hope. "As people really hone in on the lyrics, I pray they really do forget about past and current struggles and focus on walking in all that God has for them...greater, higher, better, and more!" she states. Listen To "I'm Moving" "I'm Moving" will release on all digital music outlets on June 10 and is produced by noted musical genius Derrick Lee (Bobby Jones, Dorothy Norwood, The Williams Brothers). "I'm so thrilled to be working with Derrick Lee. One of the main goals he has is to create a sound that is specifically for me," says Keesha. "You see...I love God, I have red hair, I laugh all the time, and my style is pretty edgy and out of the box."With her signature red hair, a groovin' new single and an increasing infectious zeal for life, Keesha is ready to expand her music ministry globally and empower the world to keep Moving! She will continue writing and recording this summer and will be making upcoming appearances in Memphis, TN, Fort Pierce, FL, Birmingham, AL and Elberton, GA encouraging "I'm Moving". |
