Christian Band UR1 on the Meaning of Their Name, New Album & Goals
Christian rock band UR1 compriseS of veteran musicians Roger Revette, Stephen Abernathy and Jon Von Boehm. They have just released their single "Forever," the debut single from the "UR1 White Album," which is already impacting Christian radio. Q: Who is UR1? What's the significance of your name "UR1"?
The name UR1 comes from Galatians 3:28 where Paul is in Rome and says " There is no longer Jew or Greek , there is no longer slave or free , there is no longer male and female ; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. " . Modern Christian touring band based in Franklin , TN. UR1 in Christ UR1 LLC
Q: Tell us about how you guys came together as a band.
UR1 is based around Roger Revette who was a national single touring act and now includes Christian progressive musicians who perform mostly as a 3 piece band on stage.
Q: How would you describe your music?
UR1 is a Modern Christian band sometimes rock/pop/alt influenced by : Muse , 30 Seconds to Mars , Peter Gabriel , The Killers and others.
Q: Your new album is entitled "UR1 White Album," can you explain the meaning of the title?
UR1 in Christ is packaged in White which combines all the colors to produce pure white light as God loves all people.
Q: What are your goals for this record? How do you wish this album would impact your listeners?
UR1 would like all to listen with an open heart and mind. Know God has a plan for each person's life. Enjoy the music with a promise!
Q: Let's talk about your new single "Forever." What's the song about and what does this song mean to you?
FOREVER the UR1 single is up tempo and modern sounding with a Christian message of Christ's love lasting FOREVER.
Q: You are also known for your live shows. What can our readers expect when they come to hear you live?
UR1 has a modern creative sound of up tempo moving songs which when listening to the lyrics are thought provoking with Pro S/L for over 1,000 people.
