Charley Pride Featured In This Week's Closer Weekly Magazine
Country music icon Charley Pride opens up about his trailblazing career in the "Heart to Heart" section of Closer Weekly, on newsstands now. The three-page spread gives fans an unprecedented look at rarely seen photos of the multi-platinum selling superstar's illustrious career. Pride also reflects on topics about his humble beginnings in rural Mississippi, being a father, and what inspired him to pursue music.
The three-time CMA winner has experienced a resurgence in 2016 on the anniversary of his 50th year as a country music recording artist, while just being announced as a performer at "The 50th Annual CMA Awards" airing Wednesday, Nov. 2 on ABC Television Network. Pride was featured in "Forever Country," along with Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and more, to celebrate the CMA Awards 50th anniversary. The song dominated the charts upon its release, hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Fans can catch the Grammy award-winning singer on tour throughout 2016, playing select shows in North America (see remaining dates below). Don't miss as the Country Music Hall of Fame singer performs some of his biggest hits, including "Kiss an Angel Good Morning," "Is Anybody Going To San Antone?," "Roll on Mississippi," and many more.

Charley Pride celebrates his 50th anniversary as a recording artist this year. He has enjoyed one of the most successful careers in the history of country music and is credited with helping to break color barriers by becoming the first black superstar within the genre. A true living legend, he has sold tens of millions of records worldwide with his large repertoire of hits. A three-time Grammy award winner, Pride has garnered no less than 36 chart-topping country hits, including "Kiss An Angel Good Morning," a massive #1 crossover hit that sold over a million singles and helped Pride land the Country Music Association's "Entertainer of the Year" award in 1971 and the "Top Male Vocalist" awards of 1971 and 1972. A proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, Pride continues to perform concerts worldwide and has toured the United States, Canada, Ireland, The United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand over the last several years.
