Carrie Underwood Made a Surprise Appearance at Passion Conference 2017
Country music superstar Carrie Underwood made a surprising appearance at Passion Conference 2017. Underwood joined Christian singer David Crowder on the stage at Atlanta's Passion 2017, an evangelical conference for college students between the ages of 18 and 25.
The singer joined previously announced acts like Chris Tomlin, Hillsong United and Matt Redman for her one-song set. For nearly four minutes, Underwood grabbed the audience's undivided attention with a powerful performance of her No. 1 song "Something in the Water." Dressed all in black, Underwood's pipes soared as she sang her chart-topper, which includes a snippet of "Amazing Grace," for the 50,000 in attendance.
Spearheaded by Passion Founders Louie and Shelley Giglio, attendees this year heard inspiring messages from Christine Caine, Beth Moore, John Piper, Levi Lusko, Francis Chan and Katherine and Jay Wolf while joining in worship led by Passion Band (helmed by Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker and Melodie Malone), Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels and Hillsong UNITED.
