Montage Pheloan Enjoys the Success of "Celebrate The King"
While the 2017 edition of the ever-popular WOW Gospel series maintains it hold at the number 1 spot on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart, Grammy and Stellar Award nominated producer and songwriter Montage Pheloan continues to count his blessings. His composition, "Celebrate the King" (as recorded by Ricky Dillard and New G) is a perennial favorite of choirs great and small across the nation, not only making the WOW Gospel series, but also becoming a radio favorite, reaching the top 20 on the BDS Radio Chart and maintaining its position for more than half a year.
The Chicago native. music minister and music educator is quick to credit God as the source of his many blessings. "Believe it or not, we are all inspired by God to do something", Pheloan states. "My gift just happened to be music and through Divine inspiration, the music just flows. I am grateful to be a vessel that God uses to touch people through the powerful medium of music. It was an honor to have both Celebrate the King and Everything on Ricky Dillard's Amazing CD. I was humbled and honored to receive notification when the album received the Grammy nomination and I am equally humbled and appreciative to have Celebrate the King exhibit staying power on the radio for this long and to make the WOW Gospel series. Without a doubt, God is a great God and worthy of praise.
In addition to writing for Ricky Dillard, Pheloan has contributed his songwriting and production skills to several CDs over the past decade that include the Edwin and Walter Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar Mass Choir, Chicago Mass Choir, Joshua's Troop, Johnell Nichols & ISM and Isaac Carree. Current projects include the latest offering from his home church choir, the Verizon How Sweet the Sound Regional Runner Up award winning Pleasant Green MB Church Choir, whose single, Oh the Blood is making waves at radio. "If ever there was a time that we needed to be covered by the blood of Jesus, that time is now", Pheloan says. "It is comforting to know in over 2000 years, the blood of Jesus is well able to cleanse us from sin and daily gives us strength to endure."
