Natalie Grant Hosting New Game Show 'It Takes a Church' on GSN Premiering June 5th
Grammy® Nominee and multi Dove Award winner Natalie Grant is known for her powerful voice and great music but will be taking on a different role this summer. She will be hosting a brand new dating game show titled "It Takes a Church" on the Game Show Network premiering June 5th.
Grant will be joining her peers Jeff Foxworthy and Kirk Franklin on GSN as they premiere Season 2 of "The American Bible Challenge" this Summer. "It Takes A Church" debuts on Thursday, June 5 at 9 p.m (ET/PT) following original episodes of "The American Bible Challenge" on GSN.
"It Takes a Church" visits a congregation from across the country to surprise one unsuspecting single with the news that they're about to be saved from the dating world. The church's Pastor will task their congregation of cupids, to find the best possible matches for the dater, but in the end, our single will decide which suitor to put their faith in. The congregant who brought the chosen suitor will make a difference to their church by winning a donation on its behalf.
The partnership provides ChristianMingle with in-show integration throughout the season; plus all of the daters who are not ultimately chosen will receive annual memberships to the dating service.
The show is produced by Authentic Entertainment for GSN, with Tom Rogan and Lauren Lexton ("Flipping Out," "The Best Thing I Ever Ate") serving as Executive Producers along with Richard Hall ("The Amazing Race") of Great Blue Productions. Sean Kelly ("Minute to Win It") is Consulting Producer.
Natalie's work has gained international acclaim, including five GMA (Gospel Music Association) Dove Awards for Female Vocalist of the year. A mainstay on the Billboard Christian Songs chart with numerous #1 hits over the past decade, Natalie-re-affirming her status as one of gospel music's most popular artists-is enjoying out of the box success with her recent infectious title track "Hurricane," which quickly hit #1 on iTunes, charted on Billboard and Mediabase and is the fastest rising single of her storied career.
