The Duggars News: Jinger Duggar, Jeremy Vuolo Wedding Anniversary Approaches, Fans Anticipate Pregnancy Update
In the Duggar family, several rules on relationships and marriage are strongly followed, such as avoiding physical contact before tying the knot and banning all forms of contraception after marriage. Founded on strong conservative beliefs, a majority of the Duggars have conceived and welcomed children after getting married.
However, Jinger Duggar may have played an exception to the Duggar family rules as she and husband Jeremy Vuolo’s first wedding anniversary is approaching. While the couple admitted that they are looking forward to having children in the future, fans are still waiting for a pregnancy update from the 23-year-old reality TV star, causing her to be tagged as a “birth control rebel.”
While the Duggar family has openly disapproved the idea of contraception, their previous experiences did not always adhere to this. After giving birth to their oldest child, Michelle Duggar had been on birth control but had still gotten pregnant with the next child. However, she and husband Jim Bob Duggar lost the baby, causing them to stop birth control to avoid possible future miscarriages.
“As conservative Christians, we believe every life is sacred, even the life of the unborn. Due to our lack of knowledge, we destroyed the precious life of our unborn child. We prayed and studied the Bible and found a host of references that told us God considered children a gift, a blessing, and a reward,” the Duggar family previously shared. “Yet we had considered having another child an inconvenience during that busy time in our lives, and we had taken steps to prevent it from happening.”
Meanwhile, Jinger and her husband recently announced that they have taken part in a children’s charity that Diana Vuolo, Jeremy’s mother, founded several years ago. The “Counting On” stars shared a link on their Instagram bio, which features the couple’s video as they talk about their mission.
"As many of you know, music has had a big part in my family's life. I remember years growing up taking violin and piano lessons and absolutely loving it,” Jinger shared, with Jeremy adding: "Which is why we want to tell you today about a music mentoring program called SWAN4Kids... It's a music mentoring program for children whose parents are in jail. Many of you may not know that one in every 14 children has a parent or both parents who are incarcerated."
