ABOUT CAMERON JAMES:
Cameron James is a pop artist and songwriter based in Nashville, TN. She is signed to DREAM Label Group in Los Angeles. Her sound can be best described as a fusion of swirly synths, cinematic melodies, and lush vocals. She was featured in a coveted spot on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist and has seen success in the film and TV world. Her song "All Out War" was showcased in a 5-week promo for the hit ABC show "Quantico" and her song "One Step Ahead" appeared on Bravo's "Vanderpump Rules."
Cameron's first single "Beside You" was released to radio in January 2017 and saw international success with the single reaching the #8 position in Australia. Her much-anticipated follow-up single "Born To Bring the Light" is slated to be released January 2018.
In addition to her artistry, Cameron's songwriting accolades include co-writing Danny Gokey's single "The Comeback" on his GRAMMY® nominated album "Rise." "The Comeback" peaked at #6 and spent over 20 weeks in the top 10 on Billboard's Christian radio chart. Her other collaborations involve writing and recording with talented artists and writers from across the musical spectrum including Matt Bronleewe (Plumb), Rusty Varenkamp (MUTEMATH, Ellie Holcomb, Amy Grant), Josh Silverberg (Jordan Feliz, Jesus Culture), and Joe Williams (Lauren Daigle).
When asked to describe herself and her music, Cameron responds, "Like most people I'm a complex person made up of contradictions, extremes, and tons of things in between. I'm a woman with an interest in facilitating a connection with things tangible and intangible. It is by design that I write songs that breathe heavy with layers...layers of life and heaven. I write about the heart and the heart breaking. The messages in my art echo the truth of it's not over, have hope, and fight back. This new collection of songs is so much more than personal sentiment. They're about belief and faith and my connection to the bigger picture of God's plan for my life."
She says, "I feel incredibly grateful for the life I'm living right now. Grateful I get to craft music for others and myself. Grateful for the people I have the honor of collaborating with. I'm grateful I have a family to love and grateful that each day I wake up is another chance to dream bigger, encourage others, and to fight harder. I'm already blessed and it's all still unfolding."
