Hubert Cooke Passes Away

Hubert Cooke of The Singing Cookes has passed away.  At the request of Mr. Cooke, there will be only a graveside service for the family tomorrow, Wednesday, March 14, 2018,in Norton, Virginia. Mr. Cooke will be buried alongside his parents and siblings in a family cemetery. Please keep the Cooke family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.

"Sorry for the late post but it's been a difficult time for us. Dad (Hubert Cooke) passed away Monday around 3:50 PM. from heart failure. His request was not to have a funeral and to have a short grave side service. He also requested to be taken back to His childhood Home of Norton Virginia and be buried with his Mom, Dad and some of his brothers and sisters. Tomorrow we will honor his wishes. Please pray for our family. "Earths Loss Is Heavens Gain."" 

The Singing Cookes have been ministering and sharing the Gospel in song since 1962, when Hubert and Jeanette began with two guitars and a leap of faith. In the beginning they were known as the Cooke Duet. All three sons (James, Ronny, and Donny) joined in various capacities in the teenage years adn the group name was changed to The Singing Cookes.
