Harry Potter fans will have new experiences to enjoy at Universal Studios Orlando in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter park beginning July 8. They will be opening the Hogwarts Express to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter's new expansion, Diagon Alley.
Diagon Alley will include a new ride, Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts where the original trio - Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson - reunited to film new scenes for a cameo during the ride.
Universal Orlando states, "Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts will be the signature ride of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter -- Diagon Alley. It will be a groundbreaking, multi-dimensional thrill ride that will place riders in the middle of an incredible adventure as they navigate their way through the Gringotts vaults."
"My motto is, we're building a real place, we're not building a theme place," Alan Gilmore, the art director for both the rides and the films, told MTV. "I want to walk in, and feel like they're actually in London, or actually in Gringotts." Universal Orlando and the Today show previewed the new attractions Wednesday morning and shared some pics on social media.
Admission to Diagon Alley will cost park goers close to $100, as the extension was in built in Universal Studios Florida, a separate park from Universal's Islands of Adventure, where Hogsmeade lives. It will also include new shops and attractions and even give visitors a chance to explore Gringotts lobby.
