About Carla Williams
Carla will return to the music scene with the release of her new Christian single Love to Gain on February 22. This Bayou based torch singer has been performing in church since she was three years old. Raised in a Southern Baptist household, she encountered contemporary worship tunes when she attended a non-denominational high school.
"It was during chapel at Faith Academy that I really dove into worship music." For an act that was applauded by Digital Rodeo as being "full of raw and powerful honesty," Carla has always written or chosen to sing songs that related to her own life. "If I sing it, I have lived it. I love the storytelling that one can develop in a ballad."
Writing with Steve Dorff, a 3x Grammy & 6x Emmy nominated writer with 11 Billboard #1s, has been a steadfast and fruitful partnership for Carla since her first record I'm Home in 2008. Now, under the production wings of Tom Hemby, a 4x DOVE Award Winner, Carla has discovered a new foundation in her faith and her music with her latest release.
"Life and the music business have both changed so much since my first album and record deal. I now have a fourth child, I got to take the final journey through my grandmother's battle with Parkinson's disease and I own my own business. It's been an incredible journey and I'm excited to share it through my music."
Beyond her musical talents, this model that has appeared in campaigns for Dillard's and Buckle also founded Innovative Medicine Partners, a company that accelerates the market introduction of new medical devices that deliver unparalleled solutions. Today, Carla splits time between her hometown of Mobile, AL and Nashville, TN as she embarks on her renaissance return to the music arena.
