Dr. Earnest Pugh Launches Radio Show and Podcast "On The Couch With Dr. Pugh at The Worship Leaders Lounge"
Veteran Gospel Artist Dr. Earnest Pugh can now add the title of Radio Host to his biography. Dr. Pugh recently launched his new radio show and podcast "On The Couch with Dr. Pugh at The Worship Leaders Lounge". His informative and impactful show can be heard each week on Apple Podcasts, iHeart Radio, Podbean, Stitcher, Google Play and Tune In.
Dr. Pugh has served in the capacity as Worship Pastor and Leader for over three decades. With a Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from the Howard University School of Divinity, and an honorary Ph.D. in Theology from The Institute of Teaching God's Word (Rockdale, Texas), Pugh brings a wealth of knowledge to his listeners and a strong desire to build up Worship leaders.
"I believe this format is much needed in an effort to speak into the lives of those who affect the flow of worship each week in various capacities ranging from actually leading worship to facilitating sound and lighting," Pugh states. "In short, The Worship Leaders Lounge Radio Show is a safe haven and a sounding board for us to openly discuss some of the challenges associated with the weight and gravity of responsibly that is attached to leading worship each week."
Dr. Pugh will cover an array of in-depth topics of discussion including: "Leading While Bleeding", "Maintaining The Marriage Between the Pulpit and Music Pit", and "Differentiating Between Industry and Ministry". He will also take "The Worship Leaders Lounge" to The 34th Stellar Gospel Music Awards airing live from the Red Carpet, the Pre-Show and from backstage during the Stellar Awards live taping March 28-29 in Las Vegas, NV. In addition, Pugh will teach an in-depth master class on "Differentiating Between Industry and Ministry" Stellar Awards week for The Bellamy Group's Blueprint Master Class Seminar on Thursday, March 28 at 9:30AM at the Elara Hotel.
Earnest explains his inspiration for launching his own radio show:
My inspiration for this media platform came from two scriptures... First, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower and the righteous can run into it and be safe" (Proverbs18:10). We all need a place where we feel safe enough to be transparent, open and honest about an assignment of this magnitude. Secondly, the Bible says "There is safety in the multitude of counselors" (Proverbs 11:14). Valuable wisdom is imparted by the more "seasoned" Worship Leaders in an effort to empower, edify and encourage the up and coming generation of Worship Leaders.
"The Worship Leaders Lounge" can be heard on The Choice 105.3 in the Richmond, VA area. You can listen via stream at www.Choice1053.org each Saturday (1pm EST) and Sunday (5pmEST). To get past and present broadcasts, download the FREE podcast "Earnest Pugh at Worship Leaders Lounge" on all digital formats.
