Audie Blaylock & Redline Release Two New Songs (Listen Here)
One of just a few artists actively recording and touring who has a direct connection to the first generation of bluegrass music, Audie Blaylock is set to release his 6th album this Spring, with two songs available March 5.
Blaylock started his professional career at age 19 with Jimmy Martin. For nearly a decade, Audie played mandolin and sang tenor with the artist known as the "King of Bluegrass."
With his own band, Audie Blaylock and Redline, now in its 14th year, Audie has announced the release of two new songs: a cover of the Jimmy Martin tune, "In Foggy Old London," and a deeply inspiring original by band member, Reed Jones, entitled "The Gate Called Beautiful."
Both songs will appear on the group's forthcoming album Originalist.
Audie Blaylock and Redline recently announced a promotional relationship with Hemisphere Coffee Roasters of Ohio. Through that relationship, the group now has its own Redline Roast, a special blend created by Hemisphere. The company has a growing reputation for helping to build communities around the world through its social business platform. A commitment to relationships and authenticity is a value shared by both the coffee roaster and Audie's band.
"What is genuine and rooted in tradition is important to us," Blaylock says. "We arrange and perform music with innovation, and we incorporate many influences, but our sound remains entrenched in authentic bluegrass heritage."
