Robert Copeland Takes The Gospel To New Heights With "No Distance"
Millennial Singer/Songwriter and Worship Leader Robert Copeland continues to amass a cadre of fans across the country who have an instant appreciation for the musicality displayed in his debut offering, No Distance. The disc, released on the Enon Music Group label delivers a variety of Jesus centered songs of worship and praise including "No Distance," the quiet storm title cut that has made a sizable impression at radio on its way into the top 100 on the BDS radio charts.
The ever-soulful Gospel power singer Zacardi Cortez joins Copeland on "No Distance." "No Distance" is a moving song that expresses the sentiments of a heart changed by the presence of God. As God goes to great lengths to show the extent of His love for us, there should be no distance or boundary that could ever separate us from our pursuit of Him.
Copeland has been stirring audiences since childhood. At the age of 5, he made his Gospel music debut fronting a solo at his home church in Alabama. In his teenage years, his mom bought him 2 CDs that would greatly impact his musical tastes, one was by Boys II Men, and the other was by the iconic Gospel trendsetter, Pastor John P. Kee. Little did Robert realize that his life's path was being divinely orchestrated by God and his gift would make room for him leading him to Charlotte, North Carolina where he would get a hands-on apprenticeship under Pastor Kee. Robert sharpened his singing and songwriting skills and began writing and arranging for other artists. This set the stage for his own solo release.
No Distance continues to win fans, as the lyric video has amassed some 18,000 views via YouTube since its January release. As the Easter season approaches, Copeland is preparing for the release of a follow up single headed to radio while he brings together a few friends and others for an after Easter song service Copeland hosts the Redemption Monday worship experience with special guests to include Pastor Wendi Wyatt, Kelontae Gavin, Derius Porter and others on April 22nd at God's House of Prayer in Auburn Alabama.
