Robert E. Person Wins IRAA Traditional Male Artist Of The Year
Robert E. Person is an award-winning vocalist, songwriter, actor and radio personality. He has sung to sold-out crowds at the famous Blues Alley in Washington, DC, toured with multi-platinum selling pop music icon Josh Groban (over 30 million albums/DVD's sold worldwide), and has sung for Pope Francis on his historic visit to the United States in 2015. His classical vocal training, passion, and gifting in Gospel music has set the foundation for Robert to build a solid and continually evolving career in music that flourishes across Gospel, Christian and Jazz genres reaching national and international audiences.
Robert is decorated with multiple independent music awards including three 2016 Rhythm of Gospel Awards, a 2014 DMV Christian Music Award, a 2012 Newsome Music Award, and a 2012 Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement Award. Robert now adds an Independent Recording Artist and Arts Award (IRAA) to his prestigious mantel of trophies. The 2019 IRAA Awards were recently handed out in Baton Rouge, LA. Robert won the Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year Award for his current album CLASSIC COVERS which features "Stevie Wonder's "Loves In Need of Love Today", "Sarah" from hit Broadway musical The Civil War, and an iconic duet with Richard Smallwood on "I Give You Praise".
With such a 'winning' trend and with his entrepreneurial attitude, Robert launched his own radio show in 2017. What started out as a 30-minute weekly internet show highlighting indie music, has now grown into a 1-hour syndicated radio show that continues to showcase indie music but also features top artists in Gospel, Jazz, and Inspirational music.
Robert's Soulful Sessions Radio Show is heard each Sunday at 1PM eastern on America's premier family-friendly network Rejoice Musical Soulfood and will soon be heard on the 2019 Stellar Award-winning uGospel.com Internet Radio platform. Starting June 15, Soulful Sessions Radio will broadcast each Saturday on uGospel.com at 2PM eastern.
"I am excited about the incredible opportunity Soulful Sessions Radio has to expand its reach by joining the Stellar Award-winning uGospel.com Radio family," Robert states. "I thank God for blessing us with another platform that allows us to continue to spread the good news of Jesus Christ with Good Gospel, Good Jazz, and Good Vibes."
You can log on to uGospel.com and listen to "Soulful Sessions Radio with Robert E. Person" or download the uGospel.com app. Tune in each Saturday for Good Gospel, Good Jazz and Good Vibes that will ignite your mind, body, and soul.
