Prince of Peace Church of St. Louis, MO Release Debut Album "Do You Know"
The historic Prince of Peace Church, under the pastoral leadership of Willie E. Kilpatrick, has served the St. Louis Metropolitan area for over 95 years. The church engages in ongoing missions and projects for the community and has an incredibly powerful music ministry that the world has yet to hear. The music ministry and 50-voice mass choir intend to change that by having recorded and released their first Gospel album DO YOU KNOW.
Pastor Willie E. Kilpatrick Presents Joseph Price and the Prince of Peace Choir released DO YOU KNOW August 2. This 13-track album is full of poignant and spirited hits and anthems written by some of the most prolific songwriters in Gospel Music - Joseph Price, Kyle Kelley, Christopher Watkins, Ananias "Markey" Montague, and Michelle Lattier.
DO YOU KNOW is produced by St. Louis native Kevin Kelley (Bishop Paul Morton, Donnie McClurkin, VaShawn Mitchell, Kurt Carr), and is under the musical direction leadership of Prince of Peace Church Minister of Music Joseph Price. Price is not only the musical director but also lends his anointed pen to the bulk of the album. Price contributes 8 songs to the project. He is known for writing some of Gospel Music's hidden gems often recorded by notable artists - "Lord I Thank You For These Blessings" (James Cleveland/GMWA), and "Thank You For One More Day" (The Dixie Hummingbirds).
"I am honored to be the writer of so many songs on the first POP Church album," Price expresses. "My desire and goal is to share relevant, theologically based songs that can be used in Sunday worship services. There is a shortage of good music for the church and we must make it accessible so that great Gospel music does not die." He continues, "I pray the music will lift everyone to a point of worship and praise, that chains will be broken, bodies will be healed, and most of all that souls will be saved!"
Joseph Price and POP's first Gospel radio single "Whatever It Is" is impacting radio now garnering immediate favorable responses and adds. "Whatever It Is" features the powerful vocals of BET Sunday Best Season 5 finalist Pastor Michael Lampkin and is written by Christopher Watkins.
Listen to "Whatever It Is"
"This is a great song! I love the energy, the lyrical composition, the musical arrangement and the high production value. This is an immediate add into rotation." says Daulton Anderson of WHCR 90.3FM / WBAI 99.5FM New York.
DO YOU KNOW is available on all digital music streaming platforms and will have a companion songbook available in the near future.
