Taylor Vaden Releases 'New Season' EP
Independent Christian Artist, Taylor Vaden, has released his new project entitled 'New Season'; a five song EP featuring a unique blend of music styles and writing. On the official release day, the title track was added to Spotify's "New Music Friday Christian" playlist, averaging over 1,000 streams per day for the first week and has now exceeded 10,000 streams.
Besides the digital single release of his wedding song 'This' in 2016, New Season is Taylor's most recent release since his first full-length album 'From the Start' in 2013. The new EP features five brand new original songs written by Vaden with two of them co-written alongside his wife, LeAnn.
'New Season' is a collection of songs that are very personal to Taylor from experiences he and LeAnn have faced over the past year and a half throughout everyday life. "Like most singer-songwriters, I want my songs to help encourage people," says Vaden. "When it comes to these new songs, I tried to dig a little deeper in my songwriting in hopes that God would use them to meet people right in the middle of whatever season they may be going through." Each song on the EP has a different style, but the same foundation and message is found throughout.
The new project starts off with the title track 'New Season', an energetic and uplifting song that leads to the holy blues track 'He Broke My Chains', which has been a crowd favorite at Taylor's recent shows. The third track, 'Covered', is a beautifully arranged mellow and worshipful track based off Psalm 91. 'Breakthrough', written by Taylor and wife, LeAnn, is another positive song with a 90's contemporary pop sounding style and a catchy chorus. The EP concludes with 'Take It Away', which was written about the Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting in October of 2018. The physical copy of 'New Season' also features a special bonus track; a re-mastered version of the previously released song 'This'. From start to finish, every listener will find something they can relate to on this EP.
'New Season' was produced, recorded and mixed by Keith Shimfessel at The Bonus Room Studio in Kernersville, NC and mastered by Wade Starnes at Grammy Award Winning Gat3 Productions in Charlotte, NC.
