Cody Carnes Releases New Song "Christ Be Magnified"
Worship leader and songwriter Cody Carnes has released a brand new song "Christ Be Magnified" available now. He performed the single live this week at Passion 2020, where nearly 65,000 young adults from across the globe filled arenas in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Passion 2020 --- a gathering of 18- to 25-year-olds and their church and campus leaders --- is the largest gathering of its kind for the age group in the United States, showing that the church is alive and well, and that Jesus is still important to millennials and Gen Z.
When every creature finds its in most melody
And every human heart its native cry
O then in one enraptured hymn of praise
We'll sing Christ be magnified (O be lifted high, Jesus)
Carnes, a well-respected worship leader and songwriter, released his debut album, The Darker The Night / The Brighter The Morning, in 2017. He has also co-written many songs with his wife Kari Jobe such as "Let the Heavens Open" from her Dove Award winning album Majestic and eight tracks off of her release, GMA Dove Award nominated, The Garden. The couple also released the well-received single, "Cover The Earth" last year. He will be on tour with Elevation Worship on the "Hallelujah Here Below" tour beginning in March.Carnes resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and their toddler boy Canyon and they are expecting their second son early this year.
